MENTEES
Applications open November 2nd and close November 16th.
Mentee roles are open to all current CRRA Members who have not yet participated in the program. Here are some useful guidelines for you if you are interested in participating.
Who makes a Great Mentee?
Mentees are Zero Waste professionals who are committed to developing their network and learning from those who are experienced in the industry. Mentees might be new to the field, shifting careers, or building momentum in their current position.
A Mentee:
Is a new, emerging, or growing professional that has typically been in the Zero Waste or sustainability field for under 10 years.
Is inquisitive, eager to learn, and open to feedback.
Is a CRRA Member
A Mentee’s role:
Show up with questions, ideas, and a willingness to grow.
Keep the relationship professional, respectful, and rooted in shared values.
Schedules monthly meetings with their mentor in advance and with respect to your mentor’s time.

Who Makes a Great Mentor?
Mentors in our CRRA community are individuals who have a passion for Zero Waste and a dedication to seeing early professionals entering the field grow and flourish.
A Mentor:
Has at least 7 years of hands-on experience in sustainability or Zero Waste practices.
Has led projects, built programs, or driven change in your organization or community.
Can commit to a monthly check-in and offer guidance with empathy and honesty.
Is a current CRRA Member
A Mentor’s Role:
Helps Mentee set realistic goals and navigate challenges.
Shares your wins, your lessons, and your favorite resources.
Is a sounding board and a cheerleader to your mentee.
Engages your network to promote mentees growth based on their goals.
