Conference Scholarship

CRRA Conference Scholarship

OPEN TO MEMBERS OF CRRA.  APPLICATIONS PERIOD IS NOW CLOSED.

The California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) has established a Scholarship Fund to support CRRA Members who have been financially challenged during the COVID-19 epidemic and are unable to secure funding to attend this year's Virtual Annual Conference and Trade Show. Please review the information below and submit your application.  A number of FULL Conference and ONE-DAY Conference registrations are available and will be awarded based on a "needs" basis.  Recipient information is private and will not be announced publicly.

Scholarship recipients will receive, based on availability and need, a FULL Conference or ONE-DAY Conference Registration. 

SELECTION PROCESS

Scholarships will be awarded to members of CRRA in Good Standing who would otherwise be unable to attend the event this year due to financial strain as a result of COVID-19.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

  1. Relevance: Will CRRA membership help the applicant achieve his or her specific career goals?
  2. Initiative: Has the applicant demonstrated continued dedication to Zero Waste?
  3. Communication: Are the ideas expressed in the application communicated effectively and efficiently?

APPLICATION PROCESS

Qualified individuals must submit the following materials to the Scholarship Committee in order to be considered:

Candidate must be a current member of CRRA with membership in Good Standing. A one-page statement describing why the applicant requests the scholarship. Please include the following:

  • Has your employer or employment status been affected by COVID-19?
  • Specific ways in which you will share the experience and acquired knowledge from CRRA membership with others has supported you.

  • Are you requesting a Full Conference or Single Day registration?
  • What benefit do you feel can be garnered from participation at the annual conference?
