Special Events & Venue Recycling Workshop
AB2176 requires recycling at certain large venues and special events in California. Is your organization in compliance with this legislation? If not, are you even sure what you need to do? Join this half-day workshop on the campus of Cal State Long Beach to: learn which events and venues require recycling, how to obtain grant money for collection containers, how to development compliance plans, learn real world examples of what works (and what doesn't), and meet with vendors of recycling containers and biodegradable packaging.
Participating speakers include staff from the CIWMB, Department of Conservation, City of Pasadena, Del Mar Fairgrounds, Rosebowl, and CSULB.

Founded in 1974, the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization dedicated to promoting waste reduction, reuse, recycling, pollution prevention, and composting. The CRRA works to expand markets for recycled materials, promotes sustainable materials policies and is a clearinghouse for information, innovation, and industry and governmental initiatives. CRRA is the premier organization for linking like- minded individuals from every facet of the industry. Non-profits, waste haulers, recyclers, state, federal and local government, academic institutions, recycled product manufacturers, and many others come together under the CRRA umbrella.
