Meeting Schedule

Reuse and repair industries play a vital role in all integrated waste management practices. The reuse and repair of goods is an activity vital to realizing source reduction, the top of the State's Integrated Waste Management Hierarchy. Many integrated waste management plans focus on recycling and overshadow the contribution of reusability and repairability. It is time for reuse and repair to take center stage in all discussions of solid waste management practices.

RRaRC, Repair, Resale and Reuse Council, is a technical council of the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA), formed in 1994 to bring attention to the reuse and repair industries and businesses in California and the important contributions that these companies make to source reduction through refurbishing and selling goods that might otherwise be landfilled.

RRaRC will act to ensure that local governments, legislators, businesses and residents understand the existing reuse and repair infrastructure, the industry's importance to the Integrated Waste Management Hierarchy and to always consider reuse and repair before choosing to recycle.
