California Works Alliance: Jobs Through Recycling and Resource Management

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING 2013...Become part of one of the largest and most rapidly growing industries in America – Recycling and Resource Management. The Recycling industry is larger than the auto industry. Did you know, as more cities and businesses develop sustainability and zero waste policies, they need trained personnel to properly manage their resources and programs.  Resource management enables business to become more efficient, increase their bottom line, improve community relations and decreased their financial and environmental risks.

The growth in the recycling, composting and reuse industry has created a demand for qualified staff. The new positions range from entry level to managerial and require specialized training, along with individuals who can provide leadership, creative solutions and innovative ideas. Positions include green facility management, recycling coordinators, sustainability team members, reuse operators and 100s of other green, clean and well paying jobs.

California Resource Recovery Association, in partnership with Santa Monica College, is proud to announce the launch of their "California Works Alliance" Industry Certification Program.  Funded by a grant from the Department of Labor, students are eligible to receive free training. This program is valued at over $3000 and will be offered free to qualified applicants through the grant scholarship program.
