Ventura County, CA (April 2, 2004 ) - The cities of Thousand Oaks and Oxnard and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG), in association with the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District, will hold three separate National Odyssey events in April to showcase clean and efficient alternative fuel transportation. On Thursday, April 8, at the South Coast Air Quality Management District headquarters in Diamond Bar, the Clean Cities SCAG Coalition will present a transportation odyssey fair from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This event will feature presentations on alternative-fueled vehicle availability and financial incentives, and an afternoon demonstration of alternative vehicles including a fuel cell vehicle from Honda. On Saturday, April 17 th, from 11 a.m – 4 p.m. at Conejo Creek Park North in Thousand Oaks, the City of Thousand Oaks will its annual Arbor/Earth Day Celebration. Besides great food and family entertainment, a variety of alternative fuel vehicles will be on display highlighting the advances in clean energy vehicles. For details visit www.toaks.org
On Saturday, April 24 th, from 11 a.m – 3 p.m. at Plaza Park in Oxnard, the City of Oxnard will hold its annual Earth Day celebration.
