INSTRUCTOR
Joan Edwards is the instructor for this course.  She has over 30 years of non-profit, governmental and private sector experience in the recycling field.  Currently a private recycling consultant, Ms Edwards served as manager of recycling programs for both the City of New York and the City of Los Angeles.  Ms. Edwards was responsible for obtaining FEMA funds and overseeing the Los Angeles disaster debris recycling program for the Northridge Earthquake and has helped develop and/or implement C&D recycling programs, tracking systems, and policies for both public and private clients.  Her work in Los Angeles resulted in the development of a C&D infrastructure that was previously identified as a barrier to local C&D development.  Ms. Edwards is a former recipient of the CRRA Recycler of the Year Award, the USEPA Award of Merit (Region II) and the Environmental Action Coalition Green Star Award.
