CRRA Conference Program (pdf) Join us in San Jose for our 30th annual California Resource Recovery Association conference and tradeshow. This year we’ll be holding the conference at the magnificent San Jose Fairmont Hotel, August 6-9, 2006 . Our conference theme is “Innovate: Think Outside the Triangle”. We wanted to create an event that encouraged us think about how to innovate and do what we do even better. Outside the triangle refers to a broader message about resources and the environment, as well as innovative ways that organizations and cities have worked outside the "standard" practices. We want to encourage attendees to think about the bigger picture of the issues we are facing in our industry and our world. The CRRA Conference Program Committee took its theme to heart and designed and created an innovative, inspiring, and intriguing conference. They thought outside of the triangle as they developed plenarys, sessions, activities and events that all have one thing in common: to encourage conversation among our attendees about the issues that face our industry and innovative practices and programs that are helping to reduce our waste stream and to inspire and encourage recycling and waste reduction specialists to innovate to achieve their goals. We have set up a conference that will engage the attendee on many levels. There will be innovative speakers to inspire, informative sessions to learn from, and plenty of time to network with your peers to discuss what you are learning in not only the Fairmont San Jose, but also local attractions like the Tech Museum and the Children’s Discovery Museum . So whether your interest is collections, education, zero waste, policy, market development or something in between, there is something for you at this conference. In addition, if you are a new person or you are sending someone new to the conference we have a new mentoring program set up for new people to the industry or to CRRA.
